I fully expected that I would need to return it within a week, but I couldn't resist the deal. I knew my venues would be far more challenging than the small room I heard it demoed in. To test out the Bose L1, I set it up side by side with my current Mackie system, which I loved (2-450's on trees, 1 15 Sub, 1 1202 mixer, 1 wireless Shure inner-ear monitor).  I set them up in an 1,100 seat gym at a High School--a room I know to be an acoustic nightmare.  It took me an hour and ten minutes to completely unload the Mackie system, set it up, and get a sound check--which is typical when I don't have help.
