"This is my good friend Pastor Sean Ewbank (on the top
:-)). I first met Sean in Ohio about 8 years ago, and then again in Michigan a couple of
years later. He was always a big supporter of my band Project G.O.D., and over the years
has become a trusted colleague, and friend. Sean is now the pastor of Atonement Lutheran
Church in Philadelphia, PA, and he and his wife Krista, along with their 4 cats, let me
crash at their very soulful 100 year old home for a few days following a concert there on
Jan 4th. Seans passion is volunteering at the zoo, and along with a 3
hour whirlwind tour of the city highlights (like Christ Church, Independence Hall, and the
Liberty Bell), he gave me an insiders tour of the Zoo. Hence the other photos on the
left.
Sean is doing amazing work in helping his congregation to renovate their facilities in
a big way, and revitalize their community by opening a computer lab with over 20 computers
he had donated, as well as securing musical equipment for their choir & worship
services, and a host of other community and area-wide initiatives to actively build up the
community of faith in Philadelphia. He even got the local news (Channel 17--WB!) to come
out for the concert, and put highlights on the 10 oclock news! He is truly an
inspiring and tireless servant of the Lord, and I cherished my time with both him and
Krista, along with other members of the congregation like Lisa, Helen, Teri (hope
youre feeling better), Tommy (the computer guru), Daron (or De-Von as I call
him), Trudie, and Jessie as well as the rest of the youth. I look forward to seeing them
again in April, and possibly working with them on some projects some time this
summer."
