Shawn's Mission Work in Guatemala

In addition to performing concerts, leading music, and keynoting at events full-time throughout the year, Shawn and his wife Damaris and spend about 3 months/year in Guatemala to prep and lead an annual mission trip held in June and July. The purpose of "Now Is the Time" missions is to share the love and hope of Jesus by serving orphans, and children living in extreme poverty in Guatemala.

Shawn and Damaris organize and host this mission of about 150 volunteers of all ages each summer. Because they feel blessed to be a blessing, and called to serve as volunteers, they raise financial support for themselves, and for the mission projects throughout the year. To make a tax-deductible donation to Shawn and Damaris in their mission work, please visit here.

Sponsor a Child in Guatemala

During their various mission trips to Guatemala, Shawn and Damaris have helped to establish three child sponsorship programs that are designed to continue financial support to their mission sites, and serve the needs of children living in extreme poverty.   These sponsorship programs can be accessed here, and are administered by Christ the Shepherd Lutheran Church, First United Methodist Church, and Celebrate Children International.  All of these non-profit organizations located in the U.S. are committed to volunteering their time and resources so 100% of your donations go directly to these children’s needs through their projects.  For more about each program, please go here.  To join Shawn and Damaris on a mission to Guatemala to serve children in need, and to meet your sponsored child, please visit their mission website.
